On March 5th, the KID CITY team supported World Book Day at one of the schools in Wandsworth.
The event was a magical celebration of literature, centered around the beloved Harry Potter series.
With enchanting activities and whimsical styling, the atmosphere transported the young readers into the fantastical world of Hogwarts. Across five engaging sessions, over 200 kids eagerly participated, their laughter echoing through the corridors. Prior to diving into the games, the children were treated to captivating readings from the iconic books, igniting their imagination and anticipation.
The entertainment part included the following activities:
- The Sorting ceremony for the school houses with the real Sorting hat
- Care of magical creatures - put a hippogriff on a chain
- The transfiguration class - guess who's been turned into a hat!
- Quidditch - the broom race
- "I solemnly swear that I'm up to no good!" – meet the castle map
- Themed styling and attributes
Error
It was a day filled with not only fun and laughter but also a deeper appreciation for the wonders of reading, fostering a love for literature that will surely endure beyond the event.
